PARENTS & GUARDIANS
Children’s Privacy Notice
Effective September 14, 2026
True Vine Christian School is designed so an adult parent or guardian creates the family account, purchases grade access, and then creates student profiles. Children are not asked to purchase access or independently create a parent account.
Notice before child information is collected
After a parent purchases access, the parent may create a student profile. Depending on which features the family uses, the service may collect or store the student’s name, grade, child-only username, curriculum progress, answers and assessments, attendance and reading records, mastery information, school schedules, work samples, photos or scans submitted by the parent, and other educational records the parent chooses to enter.
The student workspace is intentionally limited. Student accounts do not receive access to parent account settings, payment details, compliance tools, private parent Teacher’s Assistant conversations, or other students’ records.
Parental authorization
The purchasing adult must confirm that they are the parent/legal guardian or are otherwise authorized to create and manage the student profiles on the account. Before a new paid account can create child profiles, the purchasing adult must affirm the Children’s Privacy Notice and complete a monetary transaction through our payment processor. This is designed to provide an adult authorization and verification step before child information is entered. Families should contact us if a different verification method is needed.
How child information is used
Child information is used to deliver curriculum, save progress, create educational records, personalize the student’s school workspace, support parent planning and review, and operate features the parent chooses to use. We do not sell child personal information or use student education data for targeted advertising.
Third-party services
Some parent-directed features may use service providers for hosting, file storage, payment processing, email, AI assistance, transcription, or similar operations. We limit sharing to what is reasonably necessary to provide the feature or comply with law. The parent should avoid uploading unnecessary sensitive information.
Parent rights
A parent may review and export stored family/student information from the signed-in Account & records page, request correction or deletion, revoke consent to further collection or use, or permanently delete the family account. Revoking consent may require closing the student profile or disabling features that depend on that information.
Retention and security
We retain child information only as reasonably necessary for educational records, the service requested by the parent, security, legal obligations, or other disclosed purposes. We use student-scoped authorization and other security measures intended to keep one family’s records separate from another’s.
