Privacy Policy
Effective September 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how True Vine Christian School handles information in True Vine Christian School. Our product is designed to be purchased and managed by parents or guardians. See the separate Children’s Privacy Notice for child-specific information.
Information we collect
Parent account information: name, email address, password hash, account role, legal acknowledgments, and security/session information.
Student information provided by the parent: student name, grade, optional child-only username, progress, lesson completion, assessment responses, schedules, attendance records, reading records, report-card information, mastery records, work samples, and other information the parent chooses to store.
Teacher’s Assistant and uploads: parent messages, files, scans, photos, audio submitted for transcription, and generated responses when those features are used.
Payment information: purchase status, amount, grade purchased, Stripe customer/session/payment identifiers, and refund status. Full payment-card numbers are processed by Stripe and are not stored by True Vine Christian School.
Technical information: ordinary server logs, browser/session data, IP address and related security information that may be generated when the service is used.
How we use information
We use information to provide curriculum and student-specific progress, secure accounts, process purchases, maintain educational records, answer support requests, operate Teacher’s Assistant and scanner features, prevent abuse, troubleshoot the service, and comply with legal obligations.
Service providers
We may use service providers to host the application, process payments, send email, provide infrastructure, process support requests, and operate optional AI/transcription features. Providers receive only the information reasonably necessary for the service they perform and are expected to handle it under appropriate contractual and security obligations.
No sale or targeted advertising using student data
True Vine Christian School does not sell student personal information. We do not use student education records, work samples, Teacher’s Assistant conversations, or child profiles for targeted advertising.
Retention
We retain account and educational information while it is needed to provide the service, preserve records requested by the parent, satisfy legal/accounting obligations, resolve disputes, or protect security. Child information should not be kept indefinitely when it is no longer reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Parents may request deletion as described below.
Your choices and rights
Parents may review and update student profiles through the account, download available records and work samples, and use the Account & records page while signed in to export family data or permanently delete the family account. You may also contact us to request access, correction, export, or deletion. Some information may be retained by payment processors or other providers where required for transactions, security, fraud prevention, or other legal obligations.
California residents may have additional rights under applicable California privacy law, including rights relating to access, correction, deletion, and certain disclosures. We do not discriminate against users for exercising applicable privacy rights.
Security
We use access controls, account authorization, password hashing, private student scoping, and other technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
